What we like

  • 1080p60 HDR capture
  • 4K passthrough
  • Plug-and-play USB
  • Works with OBS and major software

Worth noting

  • Overkill for non-streamers
  • Requires a capable PC
  • Adds another cable to your setup

If you want to record or stream your cloud gaming sessions, the Elgato HD60 X is the go-to external capture card. It handles 1080p60 and 4K passthrough with HDR, works with OBS and major streaming software, and is genuinely plug-and-play over USB.
